You're quite right, Boggers.

Scott was actually the main culprit for doing that.

Before he deleted himself.

You gonna be ok on your own?

I was just thinking.  Maybe BD got into debt with some very bad people and had to do a moonlight flit and delete all info about him.  Didnt he pay almoslt a tenner for fish and chips?  Expensive risky game is fish and chips from southport

It was me that got bummed (financially) in the chippy in Southport.

You may be right though about having to disappear.

Barbed Wire was a spy wasn't she?

Perhaps he was hiding in plain sight all along and now suddenly the heat's on and he's been blown.

My money's on KP.

Strange concept announcing you are going to leave, why not just leave? Still, I guess reading the 'donation thread' could entertain me for a few minutes...

In Barb's defence, I think it was because he was running a competition and didn't just want to fuck off and leave everybody who'd entered in the lurch.

Indeed.

Always came across as a decent bloke, did Barb.

Clever, funny and well-balanced. (With the option to reach and turn on a sixpence - Them modern trucks are ace.)*

Genuinely sorry he's spewed it because he was one of the few of us on here who was a real person.

Sluffy will probably read what's gone on tomorrow and go into meltdown.

And then there were (only about) six.........

* Forklift truck gag for Barb.

I'm really sorry Barb decided to jack it in.

I've not been around much in the last few days so haven't yet really got a grasp of why he quit - the Boggars did he/didn't he welch on his bet(?) or was there more to it?

Whatever it was, it is a really bad day when a well respected (and extremely well liked) poster decides he's had enough of the site.

If your reading this Barb - and I do hope you are - I'd like to add my personal thanks and gratitude for all the work that you've given freely to Nuts particularly your Alternative Fantasy Football competition (and the prize that you funded from your own pocket) and the many, many laughs you've given us over the years.

Nuts WILL be worse for all of us with your leaving of here.

If you ever wish to return (and one or two have 'quit' and made a return) at any time you would be warmly and happily welcomed back.

Best of luck to you and yours for the future.

PS - If it IS over the £10 bet, I'd be more than happy donate it myself, if that would help you in some way to reconsider your decision to leave?

Everybody would win then and my tenner would be doing some good rather than just sitting in my wallet.

Well if it clears the air with everyone I'm happy to pay it again so everybody then will know that the bet has definitely been honoured and a receipt can be produced to prove it.

It's only a tenner after all.

I think the people have already spoken regarding your spurious claims about your satisfying your betting obligations.

You didn't do the right thing and were subsequently exposed as a cheap fraudster.

Don't make yourself look even more desperate by pandering to the site's ownership.

Have you no pride?

Edit: FFS, Sluffy.....

Some gobby prick on a site you run shirks a charity bet and you're falling over yourself to pick up the tab and pay it for him, just to keep things on an even keel?

This is why I've been a bit sniffy with you recently.

It comes across as desperation.

Fuck me, I appreciate the fact that you try and have the site's best interests at heart but come on.......

Paying a bet with your own money for some gobby knobhead who decided that he was too clever to honour his debts and thought he could wriggle out of it by doing his usual "Go on the offensive and deny everything" act.....?

Fuck me.....

Boggers paid, I don't know why you keep banging on about a tenner.
