Casa Carlos in Wigan is really good Spanish Tapas!!

I'm not going to Wigan.

The General Elliot,in Warrington. Great grub,and veggie friendly.

San marco in blackrod
The toby in edgworth
Kfc in various locations

The Blundell is really good !!!

Favourite place to eat is the Hopvine near Burscough Bridge train station.

Grenache in Walkden used to be really good but heard it has shut down recently.

The Gate of India in Aylsham does a great curried lamb shank (Nawabi Raan) if you happen to be passing which everybody does sooner or later.

Reels fish and chips on Deane road.

Fantastic flavoured fish and chips and they put enough salt and vinegar on and even give free wedges of lemon! 

Much better than the tasteless shite round my area.

The Aladdin on Wilmslow road in Withington (near the Christie) is a fantastic middle eastern restaurant. It doesn't look much from the outside but the food is amazing and its bring your own booze as well

Only in Bolton could you ask someone what the best restaurant is and the best they can come up with is a bloody chippy.

I haven't given my extensive list yet.

To some people,a chippy is as close as they get to a restaurant.

I'm not a big fan of dining out. Cutlery confuses me.

The chippy I mentioned has seating inside so you CAN dine in.

The Olympus Chippy in town seems quite popular actually. I've never been in because it seems to be a bit too expensive for fish and chips for my liking.

Been in it once a few years back but thought it wasn't anything special to be honest.

No seating inside but Whitehouse's fish and chips on Halliwell road is as good as anything I've had in Bolton, on a BN poll on chippies one on Bennets Ln kept getting mentioned but I tried it once and although it was cheap the food was really greasy.
In terms of restaurants Baci in Harwood is good food, a starter of Ribs and garlic bread with cheese to dip in the sauce is to die for.

The fact that some of you consider a fish and chip shop a "restaurant" is quite worrying.

No 1 Cromer is the ponciest chip shop and ice cream parlour on the planet. It has a takeaway, a dining room (where kids portions are served in a complementary bucket and spade FFS) 

and a fine dining restaurant overlooking the pier run by Michelin chef Galton Blackiston.
Massive hype when it opened a couple of years ago, but regardless of the decor, menu and service I can't get away from the feeling that it's a chippy.
