I'm undecided as to whether or not he's one we should have hung on to at this level - time will tell. Guess we're back to the old cliche of having faith in the manager. Maybe a few more bodies in will convince me as we still look a thin squad wise.

He had a disastrous few weeks in which everything seemed to go wrong for him, but seemed a lot steadier when he left.

 He must have been offered good money as it said Fleetwood and Blackpool wanted him too.

He was ok but he never really impressed me in midfield, his best games were at RB i think.

Rumours still persisting about Ricardo Santos despite the interest in Baptiste. It'll be land of the giants at the back if we manage to prise him away from Barnet, but I'd be surprised if we did as Barnet paid 100 grand for him albeit 3 years ago.

Lowe was like a crab he coud only go sideways

The spelling is off-putting, but hey. I have to say though, we don't seem to be shy about spending money on the players we want - I only hope it turns out to be worth it!

Where is the money coming from? Are League 2 players paid peanuts or is someone just putting a good spin on who we're bringing in? I've haven't heard so much positivity around signing unknown players in years. I like it though

We probably have more money to play with due to having so many young players, so we can afford higher wages than. others even with a salary cap i think

Yes that's certainly the part about how we can afford the 'marque' signings we have for this division but the part of where the money is coming from in the first place is from private investment by Michael James/Prescot Business Park and Sharon - James/PBP have left around £6m in the business (for the hotel) rather than having it repaid to them and Sharon has put in up to £20m.

Added to that Eddies estate has seeming agreed to defer payment to them of their £7.5m owing to them and someone called Nick Luckock who seems to be a private equity investor with connections to Hg Capital, has put in up to £20m (but is due to be repaid in August 2022(!!!)).

Personally I've never understood what their business plan was in order to achieve a return on their investment and the virus certainly can't be helping with whatever it is?

Hard times ahead perhaps so we might as well enjoy the ride for now!

..and we still need to further bolster the squad.

The plan is to climb up the league, working within the applicable budget for the league we are in.
