Cole Stockton has been released by Morecambe, although I suspect it's more likely he didn't want to sign a new contract.
Either way, we should be all over this. Release Kachunga and sign Stockton. I'd back him to score more goals than any of our current strikers.

Id take Stockton for sure, he would be better than Jerome and Adeboyajo.
Connor Ripley has also been released by Morecambe, he's a decent keeper and worth looking at.

We’ve been over the Stockton debate before and whilst I think there was a time for him when his contract ran out and we could have had him for nothing, I’d have been all for it but now I’m not so sure he’s really what we want. I suppose it depends on where we finish in the play offs. If we go up then forget it we need better than that but if we don’t then he might be worth a shout but is he an Evatt type player, I’m not sure? Dion and Victor are certs to be here whatever happens and I genuinely don’t see IE not re-signing Kacha and from what he’s said about Dan I actually believe he’s going to try to get him permanently so that leaves just Bod and Jerome. I think both will be away, Bod because his contracts run out and Jerome because he can find another club as he probably won’t play and that’s no good at his age, so really I’m not sure there’s room for Stockton anyway.

You mean a striker who scores goals? Evans does have a habit of signing strikers who hardly ever score. The fact we're even talking about giving a new contract to Kachunga says it all really.
Stockton is free, probably on less wages than Kachunga, and has been a 1 in 3 striker since 2019.
Evans should act fast and get him signed up.

There’s no doubt he’s on form at the moment Nat and if he’d been doing that all season I suspect Morecambe wouldn’t be going down but hey ho. I imagine he’s known for a few weeks that he’s leaving and you wonder is that why he’s putting his all in? As I say, if we don’t get up this time then I’d certainly try to sign him but I don’t think he’s a Championship player personally.

£1.5M bid being prepped to bring back Conor Bradley, buy back clause will be included in any deal. We are also in advanced talks with Portsmouth over Colby Bishop.

Jonson Clarke Harris had been transfer listed by Peterborough, he would be fantastic for us upfront with Dion. No idea how much they want for him but it would be a statement if we went and bought him.

Couldn't agree more. I'll be extremely pissed off if we don't at least make an effort to bring him in, he's exactly what we need. Be interesting to know why Posh are moving him on, he's quality in this division.

I agree with that. I know he scored 20 goals but I can't help but feel it should have been 30 or more.
He's fine when he doesn't have to think about it, just hitting the ball first time. But when he has to think about it, like a 1-on-1 with the keeper, he is very poor.
Like all of the midfield/attack, I wouldn't care one bit if he was sold.

You aren’t going to find better than Dion Charles at league one level. He is a must keep if we want to go up.

The truth is, without Trafford and Bradley we're a top 10 team in this division...that's it. If we want to go higher not only would we need to compensate for their loss, we also need significant investment thoughout the team.
You're not going to get those players looking in League 1 and 2. We need a few Championship level players (There are loads currently free or in the periphery of Championship and Premier League teams). Players recently released like: Bradley Dack, Ben Brereton Diaz, Callum Elder, Wes Harding, Sam Byram. If I were Evatt I'd happily sell (provided the price was right) any of the current lot to replace them with any of these.
Currently we're miles away from automatic promotion.

I agree that we need to be looking at some of the better quality “frees” Monkey and hopefully with the increased budget Sharon has given IE he can pay the higher wages needed to get them. I personally wouldn’t sell Dion, unless of course it was for a substantial amount, likewise Rico because they are both xcellent at this level. I do though disagree that without Traf and Bradley were going to be miles from the automatics. Obviously both will be missed but there are some excellent keepers available and I’m sure Evatt will recruit one and whilst Bradley was certainly an exciting player for us I often felt his final ball let him down and contributed no more than Izzy did. I think a more dynamic No10 will more than make up for him and another proven goalscorer up front with Dion will account for any more goals conceded at the back.
