Charlton Ath 3-2 Bolton W

Bolton visit Charlton on Saturday after a two week rest. Will they come back refreshed and take the game to Charlton, or will it be more defensive football from Dougie's men?

Surely we have to go out and win every game from now on to get in the play-offs? Having won 6 of our last 8 league games against Charlton the omens are good.

I seem to remember us having a good record against Charlton back in our prem days, hopefully that will continue on Saturday.

I'm quietly confident of a win.

I know what will happen.

Charlton have been great away and shit at home. They aren't a bad team and I think Powell has done a good job - he has the makings of a good manager. Liked him as a player too - reliable. Our own Lenny Lawrence used to manage Charlton.
This is one of those games when the first goal will make or break the confidence of either team. Their heads dropped when they conceded first in their last home game and their performance suffered. It would be great if we scored the first goal but Dougie's likely to stick with his annoying "containment" tactic as it's an away match. Shame really because if we came out swinging and got an early goal we could romp it.
If we concede first I think we have the character to fight back, but we've got to get a better performance than the tripe that was served up at Ipswich.

Seeing as Dougie has made a big deal about improving the defence, "controlling the game" and containment in general, it's noticeable that not many have us down for coming away with a clean sheet.

We need 6 points over easter, I have a feeling a defeat and results elsewhere not going our way could spell the end to play off push. I sense a few upset posters on here next week, just hope my feeling is wrong!
