Everybody and their dog has an Iphone or a Samsung but I've never bothered and for the most part use computers for online stuff (or borrow the missus' Iphone) and a phone for receiving calls. I spend about a fiver a month on calls I make. Recently I've been thinking of getting smart phone, just to have a separate number for a new business I'm setting up but I can't decide. One son tells me the Samsung has limited apps - but the apps he uses are shit anyway. Also noticed that getting into the world of phone contracts is a bit like a first time buyer getting into the housing market. There are so many loyalty incentives for long-term users it costs a fair few quid to get in at ground level. Still on the fence about it. I use Skype a lot - is that easy enough on either phone? Facetime on my IMac is OK but not many people seem to use it. And does it work with 2G? I imagine I'll be dead before we get 3G in rural Norfolk.

No. I have one for work and it's so clunky

I have an iPhone 6S, and it seems ok. 
Probably does far more than I am even aware of, never mind knowing how to do it, when I am aware of it.

I use Motorola and a PAYG sim from GiffGaff, all minutes, texts and data for £20 a month, though there are a range of Goodybags to suit all budgets from £5 a month. My phone does everything I need and is around the £100 mark for the Moto E. Samsung and Apple are good also according to mummy and daddy but they're rich buggers so they go along the Mrs Boquet (Bucket) route.

Not a bad price Bonce for what it is!

I also use a Motorola and Giffgaff. I like the range of goodybags that Giffgaff offer but I am no expert.
