How many of these players are Pre-Coyle signings, Coyle signings and Freedman signings?
Looking at things our squad was weak, but the signings Freedman has made have not done anything to strengthen it. Medo is not living up to expectations and Spearing is showing why he couldn't get into the Liverpool squad. As for Beckford I won't say anything right now because I was told 'if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything'.

Beckford has definitely been shite, but he's a lot like Klasnic in that he needs the ball at his feet in the 6 yard box.

If we had proper wingers that could actually cross a ball I suspect he'd score a few. No one can deny the supply to the forwards has been awful.

You're right we should have signed someone who could get in the liverpool squad.

Gerrard or Lucas, Coutinho is good too.

Our FBs hardly get beyond the halfway line and the rest freeze when we get anywhere near their 18 yd box, so it's not surprising that there's no service.
The FBs have to stay back because there's nobody in front of them - our flanks are very exposed playing as narrow as this.
We have no width and it's killing us.

We have got some talent but so far we haven't seen the right combination of players in a system that suits them. I have sympathy with Dougie for bringing in good youngsters, but I'm hoping that he is bold enough to back them and change the system before he sleepwalks into redundancy.

I know Eagles has his share of knockers but there is no doubt we have missed him this season.

Mark Davies is a decent player, but his whole Bolton career has been blighted by going missing for huge parts of every game.

Trouble is 1874 that he moved on our better players, promoted a shite like Knight and recruited second raters in their place. In fairness I think Dougie's actually showing his inexperience in expecting second raters to do the things he wants them to. The fact is they can't and that's why they're second rate I'm afraid. I mean look at Eagles as an example, all the skill and ability in the world but not the brain to go with it and hugely inconsistent. If he could perform week in week out he'd be at Barca or similar and certainly would never have left OT. As they say, class is permanent and sadly so is a lack of it and that's exactly what Freedman's bringing in both in himself and his players.

Not sure I agree with all of that Whites, moved on our better players? Who do you mean exactly? 

Personally I'd say moving on Ricketts, Petrov and Davies was good and necessary (financially at least) business, none offered much to the side IMO, same goes for Andrews and Sordell. Losing Alonso has set us back but unfortunately there wasn't a huge amount that could be done with that.
