Dougie talks about blooding the youth players, but when he gets a chance to stick one on the bench in the highly unlikely event he'll be needed, he signs some ponce from Millwall.

I guess this is a sweetener for letting us keep Feeney for his full 3 months, so in actual fact DF is not playing hard-ball with them at all, he's bending over and taking it like the man that he is! Gutless!

Goalkeepers in our current squad:

Adam Bogdan (injured)
Jay Lynch (Reserves)
Andy Lonergan

I would have thought that we could survive on the 2 goal keepers above, we have others in the development squad as well.

Why not let one of them play in reserves?

I think it's time Dougie found his bollocks and started using some of the players he bought that are developing to give them experience they need, not signing a goal keeper from Millwall for 3 months.

Wow... some high-level knee-jerk reactions on this one. Jay Lynch is out and should Lonergan get injured, we'd have to put in a 17 year old kid we got from Blackburn Rovers only last year. I honestly don't know what else Douglas could have done in this instance.
