Definitely a fixture I wish I could be at. Donkeys years ago, a friend who worked as a printer forged tickets to a game at Gigg Lane - back when their tix were just dark blue ink on light blue paper. Perforated every one with a scalpel too so they could tears the stub off. It poured down with rain and all  our fingers were blue as we were handing them over at the gate. Twitchy bums.

I think it IS a must win for several reasons, not just because it's Bury. It's because it's the first week of the season, we're playing a team from our local area who are in a lower league than us and it should be a useful confidence booster. Lose and it could really hurt our confidence and knock us out of sync for the next five or six league games and then we could see ourselves in a mess like last terms.

We must win this 6 nil.

Bury were non-league up until recently (like Old Smithillians and Darcey Lever FC), so we should do a job on 'em and send a message to the big boys like Fulham and Cardiff.

(Fucking Cardiff....big boys......how did that happen?)

If we don't batter the black pudding eating clowns, we should pack up and call it a day.

3 years ago today Bolton beat Bury 2-0 with goals coming from Klasnic and Cahill

A couple of Bury fans I know think they're coming to actually do us in, Kick our arse , they'd actually be upset if they didn't win by a couple of goals, they think that they are going to play us off the park and win by at least a couple of goals. An easy nights work.
