Are we certain that the photo wasn't taken last summer before the new season had started ? I simply cannot see any manager allowing the first team players to go abroad on the lash after our latest performances. It has to be a joke........surely????

Norpig, I'm taking this with a pinch of salt. No way would the board authorise a mass exodus to the beach at such a crucial time. I'm glad I don't follow Twitter.

Apparently the team are not in training this week as Dougie is with the Scottish under 19s squad. 

Whether that's why he is there, who knows.

If this is true, which I doubt, then I will be pretty well pissed off. I cannot see our club captain posing for a selfie with a beer when we only have one point on the board. It absolutely beggars belief. I have been to every game this season bar one, including the Vitesse Arnhem game and the League Cup trip to Crewe. I didn't go to Brighton due to logistics. If it turns out that the first team are off on a soiree then I will be penning a strongly worded missive to the club, expressing my disgust and amazement that this trip was even contemplated, never mind authorised.

The time off will be authorised of course. Maybe it says something about those who have chosen to spend it like that more than anything else.

Suggests to me he's either not bothered about his career or he's not bothered about the manager. Any footballer who's taking his fitness and the club seriously wouldn't be heading to Ibiza a few games into the season.
