If there was such a thing as a must win game this is it, if Parkinson sticks to form and plays it defensively we'll be lucky to get a draw, let them off the leash and we'll batter them.

1-1

"Let them off the leash"? Do that and they might end up in the unfamiliar territory of the opposition's penalty box and be scarred for life.

Anything less than a win for us and we will remain in the Swamp of Doom until the end of the season and possibly forever.

The Swamp of Doom could be our destiny.

You have been warned!!!!

I think we'll lose, 0-1.

Parky has no idea what his best team is, but if Wilma is fit I expect him to play.

We will win - obviously.

They are absolutely dire and will be relegated.

I really hate to do this but...

After last Saturday's defeat to Cardiff, I fear the sale of Gary Madine may ultimately prove to be very costly. Of the 360 minutes we've played since he left the club we've only had 10 shots on target.

Our 4 strikers have scored a combined total of 2 league goals for Bolton this season and contributed only 1 assist.

Le Fondre
Goals: 2
Assists: 0

Wilbraham
Goals: 0
Assists: 1

Walker
Goals: 3 (Forest)
Assists: 1 (Forest)

Clough
Goals: 0
Assists: 0

Sammy Ameobi, our highest goalscorer this season with 4 from midfield, may well chip in with a couple more before the season but he's going to have to up his game with only a single assist so far.

Here's hoping I'm wrong, and that we bag 4 on Tuesday night, but right now my fingers are crossed for a scoreless draw and a distant dream that Rob Earnshaw will be tempted away from the Whitecaps FC 2 to rescue our season.

Very Happy

We have to win this. We are two points out of the relegation zone now, and both Barnsley and Hull have a game in hand on us, so we're already in the poo. Barnsley are next up against Burton so one of them will pick up points and there are absolutely no guarantees that the other teams around us will lose.
Like Finlay, I have my reservations about where we will get the goals from on current form, so in some respects this game will set the tone for the rest of our season as it would be a disaster if we lose this one both in terms of our league position and our confidence.
We need some light at the end of the tunnel and I think the only way we'll get it is if our players get a sudden upturn in form and batter Sunderland at home as Birmingham did a couple of weeks ago. Sunderland's defence is poor so I can't think of a better game for the new attack to start producing some potency and give us something to feel confident rather than simply optimistic about.

Sunderland are shit. Coleman looks clueless. We look half decent at home. We’ll scrape a win and scrap survival due to home form

If we score first, their fans are suggesting they'll capitulate - but if we concede first we'll be in trouble. Kone and McNair could be a problem if they are fit enough to return, but getting our noses in front is the key for me in this one.

The match that could decide our season.

Not true, but it feels like it.

It has to be a win.
