You have to watch it. It's a cult classic. Burt Reynolds and Jon Voight early in their careers taking a couple of mates from Bolton on a pub crawl around Blackburn.

It was certainly a film ahead of it's time. I would imagine the character played by Burt was based on Angry Dad.

AD would've twatted 'em all in the first five minutes and had Ned Beatty (bum still intact) home for his tea......

But they were simple country folk AD. They lacked etiquette and decorum, for them, visiting Satan's Alley was just a release valve for their simple minded frustrations.

You need to release your inner karma and take pity on folk from the boondocks.

Actually, I reckon Anton Chigurh is probably closer to AD in real life. In a past life I reckon AD was probably a Gurkha because he certainly doesn't take no prisoners.

He certainly played the part well. The coin toss scene is unforgettable. One of the best movie clips ever. It's the hidden menace. Worth repeating.

RT i keep telling the boy's and the women be prepared at all times wherever you are, dont be a victim, i will never be a victim, i sleep with a gun and a knife in my bed, no i'm not joking, better 12 men than six as they say, my wife has an amazing disguised array of deterents about her if she's out and the boy's are all MA trained, i dont trust anybody at any time of the day, i'll see it in their eyes as they walk towards me she does get on at me about it though.

A mental bully who wasn't assured enough of his own abilities, that he couldn't rely on himself and had to use a cattle-prod.

And then he got run over like a spaz at the end.....

Is that how you want to be remembered, AD.

Come on, you're better than that.

I see you more as Jack Reacher on 'Roids!!!!
