It definitely won't.  7 weeks in a row i have worked over 52 hours  a week.  two of them over 55.  getting home at 8pm on a friday after setting off at just gone 5am is the final straw

I have a few ideas but nothing set in concrete. Got a job offer to head the sales department of my uncles (well aunties boyfriends) firm which is good enough for me to jack in what im currently doing.

Get it done, mate.

You get one crack at this life, it's not a practice run.

And you only drag yourself up and drive to work because they pay you, no other reason - all this "I love the people and the job" bollocks you hear in interviews is bullshit, so earn what you can to give yourself and your family the best possible standard of living you can.

Then retire while you're still young and fit enough to enjoy it, mate.

I know what you mean - my notice period is three bloody months!

And don't worry about facing your boss on Thursday - you don't owe him / her or the company a thing.

Just thank him (or her) for all their help with your development during the time you've been with them, shake hands and simply explain that the opportunity that's come your way was too good to turn down.
