y2johnny wrote:Cheers breaders.  Feels like a weight has been lifted.  With me being out the office all the time and im off mon, tues, weds so ive emailed it.

Dreading going in on thursday afternoon though

And its bloody 8 weeks notice.  Ah well.  It will soon come round

I know what you mean - my notice period is three bloody months!

And don't worry about facing your boss on Thursday - you don't owe him / her or the company a thing.

Just thank him (or her) for all their help with your development during the time you've been with them, shake hands and simply explain that the opportunity that's come your way was too good to turn down.

You'll be reet.

Thats pretty much what i put in my email and the official letter i attached.

Means I'll be getting another new car in a few weeks Smile

Chairmanda wrote:wow, good luck y2j, I'm sure it will work out brilliantly for you. Next year you will be starting a thread asking for hints on millionaire playgrounds for your holidays!

Cheers manda. I can only hope. Although I'd be happy with a caravan in Rhyl Smile

Good luck johnny.
Best thing I ever did was hand in my notice. Got a job that paid only half what I'd previously been earning, but I enjoyed it,and that made up for it.
Mind you,I'll probably still be working at 80. Shocked

Good on you Johnny. A lot of people just stick to what they know even if it's shit and they hate it. No risk, no reward. I hope the grass will be much greener for you on the other side mate.

The only dog you'll catch is the ones you kidnap and have sex with.
