Exactly what I thought.

I diasagree, I think having Parker in the team and not Lampard is why they have performed a bit better this time round.

Lampard keeps hold of the ball better than Parker. Personally, I would have preferred Lampard.

Lampard has had chance after chance at international level and rarely done it. I reckon Parker & Gerrard have been great, if Rooney can get going tonight we will top the group.

Id rather have had Lampard in than Gerrard, but the two don't work well together, so it has worked out fairly well with one of them being injured. I don't think Lampard is particularly better than Gerrard, but he was in better form going into the tournament. Not much between them.

Agreed, I just feel Gerrard is more likely to produce something special at this level and is much more mobile at getting up and down the pitch.

Lampard has 15+ goals in him per season from midfield.....he is much more mobile than Stevie G. I have no idea what Gerrards average goal tally is but I'll bet it's nowhere near Lampards. Not that scoring is the only talent for a midfielder naturally. With Parker I just can't see it ..... others seem to think he's grand though.

Lampard has always been a good PL player, but at the same time he's always been a poor international player. He's had enough chanes, his injury was a blessing.

I disagree that he is more mobile than Gerrard, Lampard rarely plays box to box.
