It can't have gone unnoticed that within 24 hours of rumours going round that we may get a billionaire owner, Fat Sam - who has slagged us off and snubbed us for years - has thrown his hat into the ring.

No hypocrisy there then.

I'll say it again- he gave us the best ride of our lives when he was manager.
I'd welcome him back tomorrow in any role he chose

Have to agree with that,Rammy. Love him or hate him, he knows his stuff. We've let too many ex Wanderers shuffle about in the wilderness.
I'n have kept SKD for sure. His experience would have been invaluable.

Nixon claiming that a new bidder has entered the fray.

OK it's Nixon, but if this is true it stinketh of Anderson getting up to his old tricks again and trying to get a last minute bidding war going.

Of course if neither party takes the bait, Anderson - and BWFC - will be left high and dry.

One hell of a gamble, but it's Anderson we're talking about.

Can you imagine the reaction if Anderson pisses off the alleged billionaire and sells to some bloke down the pub just because he's willing to give Anderson a better pay off?

How many times do we need to be told that nixon knows nothing about this story.

As I understand it the hearing on Wednesday was adjourned because a deal is close and should be tied up in the next two weeks. That was what BBC sport reported anyway. Or did I misread it all?

No Pete that's the gist of it, there's a guy on WW called Howard that you might be interested in reading his comments, he seems very credible.

Thanks Martin. I've been so busy with 'normal life' that I really haven't had time to keep up here or with BWFC in general.

The plot thickens a little more this morning with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Which presumably everyone will take with a bucket of salt, but FWIW he suggests that "sources" are suggesting that the mystery buyer is "UK based".

Iles "sources" have hardly been the most accurate in recent times, but if we imagine that just for once there is a grain of truth in this, what does "UK based" mean anyway? Does it mean a Brit like Kenyon or Warburton or a Turkish billionaire with business headquarters in Bolton? Hardly the clearest steer anyway but at least it would rule out some of the more speculative suggestions knocking around.

Another article knocked out by Iles and we're none the wiser.

However he makes an interesting point from a strategic perspective:
If the club doesn't opt for administration by Wednesday, any points deduction will happen next season and the remaining assets will be at risk. If they are confident that the sale will go through they can save the cost of administration. If they don't enter administration, the buyer will hold all the cards.
Decisions, decisions!

So true Johnny!
It almost seems like BWFC fans want everyone to fail. Even when I was vilifying Anderson for being the arsehole that he is, I still wanted him to do well even though I knew he wasn't equipped to do so, especially on the financial and ethical fronts - it's like turning up to watch when Megson was in charge and still hoping the team would win.
Now "Howard" who has provided an interesting and so far accurate narrative of recent events on WW is being slagged off - not with facts or logic, but with distrust and malice.
Where do these tossers come from?

Yes of course you did!

Rolling Eyes

(also I've not seen any malice whatsoever posted against Howard and almost universal praise of him - but don't let that spoil your story).
So now that "Howard" has had enough of the aforementioned slagging off and left the site, where does that leave you?

I'm expecting >5000 words before lunchtime, preferably entitled "Oh God! you are unbelievable" and opening with "Well, Prince, Genoa and Lucca are now no more than private estates of the Bonaparte family"

Think they just follow each other round the internet forums, they even had an argument on Mumsnet and the comment section of Pornhub.

OK they were called Twinkle Twat, but what's in a name?

However if you know anyone who might be interested I do have two containers full on the water coming in from China.

Believe me it is as tiresome for me having to deal with Wanderlust as it is for you and everyone else having to read it.

I'm not the one with the desire to lie, fabricate and manipulate things to try to prove to people totally not bothered or interested that I was in some way right - on what used to be a happy, friendly and entertaining little footy forum.

Since Brexit and Anderson's arrival all the fun has gone out of the site.

I've tried in vain to refute the absurd claims and daily abuse but have clearly failed.

Until Brexit is resolved, nothing that is said or claimed on here will have determined its outcome and similarly unless and until Anderson is proved to have done something illegal and found guilty of it, he, whether people like it or not, is entitled to run his business as he wants.

It's as simple as that but there's one on here that simply can't and won't accept that.
