We took mum for her six monthly appointment at the eye clinic yesterday.
I fell headlong over the doormat.
Mum decided I didn't exist, and continued on to reception, leaving me to gather up my hat, and what remained of my dignity, before disappearing off to wait in the car.
When mum emerged 30 minutes later, she suggested I might be turning into Private Godfrey from Dad's Army.
I replied, rather cuttingly, I thought, that I was looking at care homes.
"I'll try and visit you when I can" came the tart reply.
I get no respect.
