I've just had an amazing bit of road rage, obviously I was in the right and I think the other guy was just taking the piss and being rude.

As two lanes turn into one single lane I was first and some dick tried over taking me to squeeze in "Like fuck he was ".
So naturally I put my foot down, and we was both racing side by side on a single lane.

At this point I was prepared to wright off my car and play chicken with the other driver.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, he stopped "or slowed down" and I won.

But on looking through my rear view mirror he was waving his hand at me so, I lost it. I stopped the car in rage and nearly ripped off my steering wheel on the road.

Then I thought WTF am I doing, just drive off there's no need for this at all, as I was causing a traffic jam .

From driving along peacefully then a couple of seconds later being in so much rage, this must be what they call road rage.

Have you ever been struck by road rage, if so what happened ?

I'm alright in cars, but as a pedestrian when drivers don't stop at zebra crossings, I see red.

It doesn't bother me, but I used to drive a 3ltr Saab Griffin turbo that could shift a bit and on one occasion a knob in a Merc tried to undertake me as the road narrowed leaving me with nowhere to go so I pissed it off. Next lights he stopped, got out of his car and punched the passenger window where my youngest son was sitting. I laughed. My son laughed. He walked.

The best one I had was with some guy who was just walking along a country lane. I was driving along and slowed down to go past him and as I did he twatted my mirror. So I've done a full on emergency stop and jumped out to see what the problem was. He's come steaming round the car screaming that I was going too fast and started squaring up to me. So I asked if he wanted a fight and threw him in the hedges. That's where I left him. Might still be there now.

You told that story on BA once, except the other bloke was a dwarf.

I once was driving down the A1(M) in the outside lane (I was behind a lot of cars) and this range rover was driving about 2 yards away from the back of me so I was giving him the V's and wanker sign.
Eventually after I got back in the slow lane he started over taking me and he was the biggest, mean looking dude I have ever seen - he had a skin head too. For a mile he was driving along side me pointing at me giving me the 'I am going to slit your throat' sign continuously and pointing for me to pull in. I just kept driving not looking at him and he eventually drove off. If he was small bloke I would have sorted him out.

I definitely get road-rage, which is why I prefer public transport as I don't get stressed out a much!!! What gets my goat are those who do not friggin indicate at any junction whatsoever - indicators are there for other motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and even guide dogs (yes they are trained to watch out for them). Next are those who do not know how to drive around a roundabout, then there are those who don'e read roadsigns - especially those connected to bus lanes and asume a bus lane is a bus lane 24/7 when its only for a couple of hours a day!!! Then there are the middle-lane drivers and think its okay to drive there - its a friggin over-taking lane and all lanes on a motorway are 70mph (up to 77mph as camera's have a 10% lea-way) - no such thing as a slowlane, driving lane anf a fast lane and some seem to think. then of course the old urban myth of the road-tax, and that it pays for the upkeep of road-what a load of bull as it is the Motor vehicle excise duty and goes straight to central government whereas the upkeep of roads comes from the council tax!!!

arrrgh - I have road-rage now and not even behind the wheel!!!!!

I thought you were banned from driving for a road rage incident?
