I've met people like that, they think they are being clever and it becomes a way of life to them.  I guess they can't see how pathetic they are.

Fair enough if you haven't got a penny to your name and have to do things like to survive but this bloke as a car, home, phone, wife, printer (and presumably computer) and yet he's frigging about grovelling on the floor for other peoples ticket stubs.

Yes. I used to work with a bloke who used to go to retail parks looking for loose change dropped near the windows of fast food outlets. He also grabbed trolley's that still had the pound in them,and took them back.
He often made five or six quid. He became a pain in the arse to everyone,and we were all delighted when he moved on to another job.

It was interesting, but certainly not for me.
