Charlie Austin signed for Swindon until the end of the season.

We should have been in for him, he's physical and at least has a few goals on his CV unlike the jokers Evans likes to sign.

No doubt we'll sign a player who "runs about a lot" though.

Not overly excited about this either, he was decent a couple of years ago at Hull but not now.

Dan Nlundulu from Southampton on loan.  The forward is currently on loan at Cheltenham and will be given a choice where he wants to play the rest of the season.

Nlundulu has been spending the first-half of the 2022/23 season out on loan with the Robins, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.

But the 23-year-old’s spell with Cheltenham is set to come to an end on January 8th.

Nlundlu doesn’t seem to have impressed my nice ‘friends’ on Robinsnest much.

We need an experienced player with a track record of scoring more than once every 8 games.

But Evans seems to be drawn to strikers who don't score, so fully expect this to happen.

This made me laugh - from the Cheltenham 'Nuts' forum talking about Nlundulu...

Don't know if the fans at the Memorial Ground saw it, but at kick off, Dan obviously forgot that the players would take a knee so when the ref blew his whistle, Dan charged off into the Rovers half while everyone else was taking the knee.

By some distance the most energetic I've seen him in a Cheltenham shirt.

Just to add my two penneth, it seems to me that Dan might not get good service because he makes the wrong runs, no runs at all, and generally just isn't in the right place more often than not? Obviously, it's not all his fault that we are the lowest scorers and anyone who intimated that would be wrong to do so, but the amount of times the ball gets played up to Dan and it doesn't stick is criminal for a player of his size. He very rarely attempts to win a header/flick on. His passing is often abysmal during the build-up. He is very ponderous on the ball and any chance of a quick attack is over before he has released it...

Can only think he impressed them in the game here and they've not scouted him since.
