Well if he doesn't work out for us, that's one club we won't be able to sell him on to.

Nixon saying hold up at Leicester end for the last two days.

He doesn't know the reason BUT has found out that Nugent has done his ankle in during training.

Possibly awaiting for the outcome of this before moving on perhaps?

Nuggy probably scuppered by Natasha so she can be miserable about not getting Beckford.

He's probably been banging some cheap slut over there and he got a bit carried away.

Fook knows how he did his ankle though?

I'll wait to judge on this one.....not a big fan but I've not seen enough of him to have a sensible opinion. With Davis & Ngog & Beckford there should be a goal or two in them.....at least on paper.

If the bolton news is right then it seems we may not have to pay a penny (apart from his wages) for Beckford, seems that Leicester might be doing what we did with Ricketts and mutually terminating his contract allowing him to come here on a freebie.

It also means we haven't actually signed him yet - and if Leicester decide to go down the route of annulling his contract that may open the door to competition from other clubs who would take him on a free.

It seems a strange thing to do but I did the same with Soldado on Football Manager. I paid £5m for him which looked a bargain but he wouldn't bloody score. I offered him to clubs for £1m but no one wanted him so I just released him on a free.

JERMAINE Beckford’s long-running move from Leicester City is drawing closer to completion.

It is understood the Foxes and the 29-year-old striker are negotiating a severance package, which would see him come to the Reebok as a free agent.

It had initially been agreed Wanderers would pay £1million for Beckford but talks between the player and Leicester over a pay-off for the remainder of his contract hit difficulties midway through last week.

Now, the former Everton and Leeds United man could be willing to write off some of that payment in order to make his move to Bolton become a reality.

Speaking from the Whites’ training camp in Spain yesterday, Freedman refused to go into detail over the transfer.

But the Scot was confident the move would go ahead as planned, and possibly in time for Beckford to take part in the Whites’ first pre-season friendly against Rotherham in a week’s time.

“It’s just the last little bits of paperwork that need to be completed,” he told The Bolton News.

“We left the last details with Leicester City and hopefully they’ll be completed very soon.”

This Beckford deal, is turning in to a nightmare! It looks like Leicester, aren't willing to pay Beckford off now and he's in limbo, because they won't be playing him again.

What a cock up for Leicester! Either they pay a million to Everton or they pay 3 million to Beckford for sitting on his ass.

If that's an attempt to blackmail us, it's pretty shoddy as they're the only possible losers.

Really hope Dougie mans up and tells them to stew in their own shite. Beckford on a free or no deal - after all, Beckford isn't the hottest property in town.

Meanwhile he can focus on getting Rhodes a striker and a winger.

Don't think Dougie is a man who would take kindly to blackmail.

What a palava. I think the money Beckford wants to end his contract should be split between Leicester and Bolton personally.

It's the nature of the transfer window - irritating. We don't know anything as things stand:
Beckford? Can't tell if this will go through or not
Rhodes? Always a long shot but no news of a bid as yet, and Swansea are favourites anyway.
Ameobi? Another pot boiler
Moritz? Nixon doesn't think it will happen.
A N Other? f*** knows.

As things stand, apart from the kids we haven't actually signed a forward, let alone 2 or 3. I'll be disappointed if we don't get anyone new up front, but I think we will.

Loads of time left in the window, there's nothing to worry about.

Just don't believe everything that's reported otherwise you start to think we're getting knocked back or (as rebel may have you believe) are too tight to sign the players we're linked with.

We've made good progress and the Beckford thing will resolve itself eventually, Leicester know they need to get rid and he wants to come to Bolton, sounds as if he's just holding out for as big a payout as possible.
