Can't believe it, what an effort from our guys tonight though, really proud!

Don't like to blame one single player but, Liam Trotter is shameful, both goals two players that have been on the whole game score and fresh legs trotter loses them both. Hope he gets a bollocking

I'm also puzzled as to why lennon hasn't used all 3 subs, at 85 minutes, 1-0 up why not bring on the remaining subs as matt mills was clearly wankered.

Means that there are two vacant midfield slots available for the next game

Back to the championship battle... and Danns will be spoken to.  Trotter also showed nothing... but you can't fault how brilliant both Liverpool goals were.  Proud of the lads... played well even with a red at the 66th minute.  We held them for 20 minutes before they broke through... very proud of them.  Now let's beat Derby!

Performance was good in all, obviously we were outclassed at the end deserved to lose.

Struggling to see what bringing trotter on gave the team? why didnt matt mills just drop in to that position? and put someone else on upfront with a bit of pace? but nevermind, still a performance to be damn proud of

Shame we couldn't call on the likes pf Mark Davies, Clayton, Le Fondre and even Bannan to give us the little bit of quality we needed to win that game

Obviously just to be a spoiler, we had 10 men at that point and needed to pack the middle.

Trotter doesn't seem to have the stomach for a fight. Danns does in spades - he's not a defensive midfielder though. It's hard to fault him for showing fight, but he really shouldn't have made that tackle that got him sent off. We could have lost that game 4-1 easily, after they hit the post at least twice. Brilliant effort from the lads and they can hold their heads up high. We'll drink and mourn tonight, pick ourselves up, integrate the new recruits and return to battle on the weekend. Always Wanderers.

Outstanding performance, but even with 11 men it would have been hard to keep it up. They all worked so hard we were desperate for full time.

Clear enough Lennon doesn't trust his full squad and that's why he's made a number of short term deals, it was a very young bench and we really needed more fresh legs in there Eidur's legs have gone it's asking a lot of him to play a full game at that tempo.

Clough is going to be class, just needs to get his head up and pick a pass sometimes but overall he's the best technical player I've seen us produce - closely followed by Vela who with Wheater was my MOTM, faded a lot but thought he was class. Could praise the whole team to be fair but ye, great performance.

Oh and Phil Neville was abysmal.

Gutted. Lads played really well though. If only Eidur had headed across goal and Danns didn't make that ridiculous tackle we'd have had a real chance. Oh well, back to the bread and butter. Time to kick on now.

yeah but surely with Mills reading of the game and his strength, hed have held that center ground much better? I know he looked fooked towards the end, but all we needed was someone to pack the middle out, wondering what Lennons post match interview will contain...

Very pissed off but they did us proud.

If we were as good at putting the ball in the back of the net as we are at defending we would storm the championship. Can only hope these signings provide that

Rammy - others agree with you on the first... I'll have to watch it on the highlights... really can't remember it.  NL went on about it as well in the post conference.  Still we were knackered at the end... needed fresh legs but we are short on everything right now until the loanees can play.
