wont happen then. 3 of the clubs are premier league clubs with villa reported to be interested! why are we even bothering? Little old Bolton will never offer the wages that QPR and Aston Villa will pay him - he's 23... his reasons for signing for a club will be glory and money.

When Fat Sam used to sign players he'd either do it before the papers got wind of it, or just a few days afterwards so it was more difficult for other clubs to hijack his player. When Coyle tries to sign a player it's as if he rings up every other manager in England and informs them who he's interested in.

I may be simplifying things but why can't Coyle just ring up a player, invite him to The Reebok, show him round, tell him the terms, and give him 24 hours to decide. If the player says 'no' then move onto the next target. Coyle always appears to put all his eggs in one basket so when, after weeks and weeks of speculation, the player fucks off elsewhere Coyle is left with nobody.
