The push to exert even more autocratic control is getting sinister now. Getting rid of anything that stands in their way.
Attempts to illegally prorogue parliament are followed now by attempts to illegally change the terms of the Brexit Withdrawal Bill that Boris signed only a short while ago. No wonder the Civil Service's top lawyer has felt compelled to resign.

Even government ministers admit they will be breaking international law. Why would any country trust us to keep to any treaty we signed. That is what happens when you have a government led by a man with no morals or principles.

The country’s top lawyer resigning is unfortunate. Six top government officials resigning is Cummings taking down the government.
Same tactics as Trumpy.
And Putin.

Government statement today on the withdrawal agreement:

"The withdrawal agreement and Northern Ireland protocol aren’t like any other treaty. It was agreed at pace at the most challenging political circumstances to deliver on a clear political decision of the British people."

The only reason it was 'agreed at pace' was because Johnson put an October 31st deadline out there,

And when it was going through parliament, the government voted to have it rushed through to hit that deadline, claiming it did not need proper scrutiny. Tories who went against that were chucked out of the parliamentary party.

The brass neck on these cunts.

For all the (sometimes valid) points that Remainers have been condescending about leavers lack of understanding, or fear mongering about worst case scenarios - it actually appears those warnings are coming to fruition.

I don’t think that Cummings could have made his intentions any clearer.

Just wait until all the rational and impartial civil servants have been replaced with puppets, the British media (now flagged up as no longer independent of government by the European council) have all fallen under control) and the full weight of leaving the EU kicks in and there may be no way back from the full 1984 scenario experienced in totalitarian states like Russia.

It was noticeable that the new Puppet house Speaker refused to sanction Boris for not answering the questions he was asked.

It won’t be long before they’ll have full control and the people will no longer have a say.

Some of today’s fuck ups:

No US - UK trade deal ifGood Friday agreement undermined

Tory bid to keep voters sweet will cost equivalent of entire NHS budget

FTSE continues to fall while ECB decides

And further to yesterday’s Hancockup one of my missus’ team who is self- isolating because her kid has a temperature had to drive 2 hours to a testing station that had closed down because they ran out of tests. That’s a four hour round trip in a car with a sick kid. Bastard Toerags are turning us into a third world country before our very eyes.

Rarely read the Spectator - but this is an interesting article on why we’re hurtling towards No Deal under  the Tories:

Interesting article but as it pointed out Boris will blame the EU for a no deal brexit and there are plenty of people stupid enough to believe him.

How do you know who is to blame?

Unless you're party to the negotiations I'm not sure how you can.

Please explain with facts, not what you read in a newspaper or online.

It is a fact that a new bill to amend the UK's Brexit deal with the EU will break international law. This was confirmed by a government minister on 8 September.

It is a fact that the EU has said it still wants a deal but that the UK respecting the withdrawal agreement is a prerequisite.

So if we end up with a no deal brexit because of this legislation whose fault will it be? But do you think for one moment Boris will accept any responsibility for his failure to deliver his "oven ready" deal?

It will be the fault of the party that says it won’t agree to what it has already agreed.

Anyhoo hot on the heels of Hancockup being laughed out of Parliament trying to defend the failure of his testing system, the details of the government’s advice
to universities has come to light.
Apparently they’ve been told not to allow students with COVID to go home to isolate in case they spread
it whilst travelling. Not really thought that one through has he?

Just in case anyone missed it, the Secretary of State with responsibility for food and rural affairs said on Today this morning that 40% tariffs on food imports and exports would be a good outcome.

I think he meant 40% cost increase to the end user ie us.
But don’t worry - our good old fighting spirit will see us through.
Although civil disobedience and rioting on the streets is more likely to happen before brits flock to the fields to help grow and pick the food needed.

I wouldn’t read too much into anything George Eustice says. This is the man who just 3 days ago said the government is committed to honouring the eu withdrawal agreement (lie) - the same man who has just done a massive u-turn on badger culling.

He’s just another stupid lying Tory Cummings puppet.

If it turns out to be true, Brexit is idiocy.

Problem is that whilst we continue to stumble blindly along this path of nationalist ideology no matter what the cost, this government is bankrupting the country with ill conceived policies designed to distract from the real issues and keep folk sweet.
We will never recover.
Said it 4 years ago, still saying it now.
