Trump has clearly lost the plot during the George Floyd protests, sending in the National Guard and using the police to clear the street so he could have a photo taken outside a church holding a bible 

Well, at least one good thing will come out of this terrible situation, (although nothing is certain in America nowadays), and that is that by failing to get a grip of the virus, and now these riots, he'll not make a second term.

You assume Bozo will allow us to vote or have his personal lawyer (also known as the Attorney General) void the vote, or have the Supreme Court overturn the vote or close the postal service so we have no mail-in ballots... and this goes on.

Scary isn't it? He's doing his damnedest to turn the States into a Third World Country. 
Looking at political solutions of the past, I'm surprised nobody has tried to take a pot shot at him.

Indeed. According to the new John Bolton book, he didn't know Britain was a nuclear power, and thought Finland was part of Russia.

Every president has script writers, a Press Officer and a whole department dedicated to getting the message right, so WTF is going on with Trump? 
Is it simply a case of him being a loose cannon and going off message at every available opportunity - or are his staff responsible for this nonsense? Surely they have fact-checkers by the dozen?
Or is it a third more worrying option i.e. deliberately making stuff up in the full knowledge that it's bullshit and knowing that those who want to believe it will believe it anyway? And knowing that there is next to zero chance of being pulled up for it in this day and age?

False accusations, lying, demonising the media, polarising opinion and the "they would say that" tribalist counter-argument seem to be the norm these days - on both sides of the Atlantic. 
There's just no accountability.
