We have more chance of signing Jermaine Jackson.

We are not a big enough club for Beckford, hes a stuck-up little wanker.

Nixon has just confirmed that Beckford is on Dougie's list of potential targets.

Beckford cost Leicester approx. £2.5 million. Nodoubt they would want to recoup their outlay.

Looking back at Dougie's transfer activity in January I think we can expect some surprises. I mean for example, where the hell did Medo and Gregus come from?
It appears that Lennie is well connected around Europe but we don't know if those two were the low-hanging fruit or whether there are others to follow. It will also be interesting to see if those connections extend to South America, Africa and Asia where there is a possibility of picking up bargains.
Hopefully this year won't be the usual procession of media speculation followed by debate and then truth. dougie has said he's looking for a few youngsters to step up so I'm hoping for a few astute purchases in key positions to include a surprise or three. Beckford holds no surprises.

Not necessarily, Leicester took a massive loss on Matt Mills, in a very short period of time, something like a £3 million loss! Shocked

Can't see how Beckford is any better than Sordell .... both the same in my eyes.

He'd give us something different, abit of pace up-top. We're missing a Sturridge type player who plays on the shoulder of defenders.

If we can get him hitting the goal heights of when he was at Leeds then we are on to a winner, I think he'd be more of a Craig Davies than Sordell.

He wasn't very popular when he was at Leeds even though he scored loads.

I remember one of their fans saying he needs 5 chances to score 1.

A ratio of 5:1 ? if thats the case, and the lst season is anything to go by, we may as well not buy him. A total of up to 10 goals doesn't inspire very much. Sounds like another Heskey.

I'd actually be excited if we signed Beckford, he has pace which we lack.

I fully expect us to sign a workmanlike striker who rarely scores mind.

Grant Holt would be my target.

Hard worker, who scores the odd goal.

Doesn't take much to get you excited does it?
I would be more excited with the little toy inside a Kinder Surprise than signing that donkey Beckford.

That lad is a right old donkey.....one of the few who has less pace than SKD......so that's a no on this one IMO.

Well IF the bolton news are right with 2 players with championship experience I think we can rule that Sainsbury fella out.

As for Doyle, he would be a cracking signing but I reckon he would want a fair amount in wages.
