The match was boring, the stadium was boring, the surroundings were boring, I didn't hear Dougie's post match interview but it's safe to assume that was boring. All in all, a thoroughly boring and forgettable night of football, but the match was encouragingly even. Our biggest weakness I thought was midfield. There's no match changing quality there at present. Lee and Eagles both have it but aren't producing enough of it, and there are obvious limitations to Pratley and Spearing's capabilities.

Our main widemen have been poor for a while now. It's only since De-Ridder came in, where we look abit better on the wings.

The sooner Lee and Eagles get back to form again, the quicker we'll get wins on the board.

I was pleased that Dougie experimented with 2 strikers but the biggest lesson of the day was that if we sacrifice a midfielder to do it, we will get dominated for long periods.

Not if he picks the right midfielders.

We don't have any midfielders capable of controlling the game

Of course we do. Kamara was going to Spurs for £16m! Dougie chased him for 2 whole years! He's the next Messi don't you know!

Holden is capable of controlling a match. But whether he's at that level anymore remains to be seen.
