I guess this is to do with Gove allegedly carving up the leadership race with Boris before the referendum and promising to support him, then standing himself. 

Apparently Team Boris let slip an email which says "Gove is a c***"

I heard it on the radio in the car and it was like he was reading a Dick Barton script.

All breathy and earnest, as he struggled to sound sincere and convince us that he's not an objectionable twat who's doing this for his own ends.
