Just heard a recorded interview with Freedman who thought KD was really important to our win on Saturday!!!

Not shocked but surprised he didn't give Petrov and Sordell a start.

His plan is the same .....control the game in the first half ....boring but maybe get us a clean sheet.....then second half go for the win.

I personally would play for 4-0 rather than squeaking a 1-0 ....but in Dougie we trust...for now.

Not shocked the starting 11 is the same to be honest, waiting to see what difference there will be on the weekend. I suspect he plans to batter Leicester City defenders into submission with KD as the human battering ram then bring on some pace to kick on when they are knackered!

One can only hope.

Soon Dougie will realise that we lack any pace up front and no threat at all ..... or at least I hope he does.

Seems like his tactics are to only play half a game .....well as long as it works.

We are still 17th

On the bright side, we have remembered what a clean sheet looks like. Next on the agenda is a midfield who knows how to pass and move while defending then finally strikers who actually score.

I have a problem with the potential fall out from this. It is a clean sheet on paper but the danger is that it is misleading. Leicester carved us open numerous times and on another day would have converted at least one of their 16 corners or would have scored from one of their other numerous chances. They created chances and utterly dominated us for long periods. We didn't do enough to really stamp anything on the game.

A clean sheet where your defence is superb and shuts out the opposition and prevent them from scoring by limiting their attempts and their attacks is very different to getting a clean sheet through luck because your keeper made 5 great saves and their closest efforts hit the bar instead of going in.
